This week on In The Kitchen With Mary Mac we're making Fruit Popsicles! They're pretty quick and easy to make and really good! Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • About 3 c fruit*
  • ¼ c sugar
  • 1 pinch salt

*Each of the following equals 3 c fruit
  • 1 quart berries
  • 2 mangos
  • 6-8 peaches
  • 6-8 bananas
You can also do 2 c fruit and 1 c vanilla pudding or yogurt to make cream pops!

Directions

  • Wash and drain fruit
  • Crush half of the fruit well. Slice the other half (strawberries, bananas, or peaches) or leave whole (blueberries, raspberries)
  • Add sugar and salt to crushed fruit, mix well
  • Mix in sliced/whole fruit, then let sit for a while so the sugar draws out the juice
  • Using a spoon, carefully divide fruit between popsicle forms so there’s crushed and pieces in each. Leave about ¼ inch of space at the top so it can expand when freezing
  • Close and add sticks according to your popsicle mold directions
  • Freeze for 24 hours before removing
  • Run under warm water for a few seconds before removing from the forms
  • Bag individually and store in the freezer
